Easy Cole Slaw
1/4 cup milk
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1/3 cup sugar
1 1/2 Tbsp white vinegar
1 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
2, 16 oz. bags of cole slaw mix
1/4 cup almond slivers (optional)
- Whisk together the milk, mayonnaise, sugar, vinegar, salt, and pepper in a small bowl.
- Pour the dressing over the coleslaw mix and almond slivers in a large bowl. Mix well.
- Cover and refrigerate at least 4 hours or overnight. Serve chilled.
Notes:
As you mix this, you may think this seems "dry," but water will release from the cole slaw mix as it sets. So make sure to give it a good stir before you are ready to serve it up.
This particular recipe has the added crunch of almond slivers, but you can leave those out if you'd like a more traditional Southern cole slaw.
This recipe serves 8-10 as a side dish, so it's perfect to bring to your next cookout, party, backyard barbecue, or pot luck to serve a big crowd!
