One thing you may not know about the Harris Sisters is that we all enjoy that cult classic of Christmas movies, National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation. We each own a copy, and every Christmas season is not complete without at least one viewing of it.
We have always fancied ourselves as being pretty "Griswoldesque":
And whenever we all get together whatever the reason or season, we randomly quote it quite a bit:
It has even inspired some themed presents:
And as you can see, Daddy even has the signature Griswold hockey jersey. (more than one, actually)
Charlotte and I were just talking the other day about movie franchises and how most of the time, all the subsequent movies to the original, sequels and so forth, just do not measure up. However, sometimes that is not the case. I think all of us Harris Sisters can agree that while the original National Lampoon's Vacation is definitely a classic, National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation stole the show.
I also consider Back to the Future II and Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (which was the third in the series) to be the best of their series. In talking to one of the Harris hubbies today, I realized that maybe I just like the movies that I have seen the most.
