My Week in Pictures: July 3, 2014

This week's "My Week in Pictures" is coming to you a day early, what with the holiday this week. Nonetheless, I still have plenty to report, so here we go.

This week started with a visit from Harris Sister, Donna, and family.  They were traveling through on vacation this week, and stopped for some family time in Nashville.  Here we are together.  All this picture is missing is Harris Sister, Misty.  But no worries.  We have a girl's weekend planned for next month that will bring us all together soon enough.

Speaking of family time, here are the cousins meeting for the first time.  And as you can see, Izzie considers herself part of the cousin situation.  They all did great together.

As it turns out, the boys LOVE the show American Pickers.  And since they have a shop here in Nashville, we decided to stop in for a visit.

Here they are checking out the shop.

And coincidentally enough, we had just watched the episode the night before where they picked this horse. It was one of the first things we spied upon entering the shop.

And the gang's all here.  Here we are hamming it up for the camera.  Some kind stranger was nice enough to snap this photo for us.

We had a great time together.  It was a whirlwind of a weekend.  There is never enough family time, but I'm so glad they made the time for a visit.

In other news, we caught up on a little shopping this week.  :)

And babydoll had her first round of vaccinations this week.  She handled it just like a champ.  She cried for less than 60 seconds.  Meanwhile, I still had tears streaming down my face long after she was smiling and moving on. :)

Here's a look at some of those big smiles.  She is such a happy baby, and very social.  She loves smiling and laughing for everyone.

And here's another new trick.  She's loving her thumb these days, but she hasn't quite figured out what to do with the rest of her fingers yet.  It's darling.

I will leave you with a look at some of our patriotic looking planters.  We planted these months ago, but they look especially appropriate for the coming weekend, I think.

As we prepare for a long holiday weekend, I hope you all have a safe and happy Independence Day! The weather here is supposed to be unseasonably comfortable.  Not sure how we got so lucky, but we will certainly take it!
