DIY: Water Wall Fun

I usually have several projects lined up (in my head, anyway).  On the weekends, when Howard is at work and it's just us chickens here, I like to spring into action.  Last weekend, I started on a water wall.  I originally saw this idea in a magazine, and then for the life of me, I could not find it again because I just knew that it was something I pinned.

I finally took the time to look for some similar ideas, but when I went to the store, I still wasn't really sure what I was looking for.  I already had the screen left over from when we replaced our screen door.  I knew I would need the zip ties and maybe funnels... So, here is what I came up with.

I found a smallish pool noodle in a cool color that I cut up and used.  I ordered the tubes, so I did have to wait for those to arrive.  That was okay because I also had some Mountain Dew to drink:

These two top funnels were soda bottles that I cut the top part off to form a funnel.  Then, I covered the cut part with decorative duct tape, so there wouldn't be any sharp edges.  The funnel toy at the bottom was one that we already had.

I added an old flour sifter at the bottom there, and a funnel at the top helps get the water in the tubes without getting it all over us!  I could add a few more funnels and maybe a strainer, but Emma already loves this.  If only I could get her to stop trying to bite the pool noodle!
